Natal- is it going to be any good?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

After watching E3 I was extremly impressed by Microsoft's presentation. I was getting a bit bored until my favourite director Spielberg walked onto the stage hinting at a new Microsoft gadget.

MIlo was then showed off to the world by British company Lionhead. The game demo that the woman was playing enabled her to hold a conversation with a boy in the game. Although critics have said, “What’s the point” you can’t say that isn’t cool.

You are able to actually use your whole body in the games. For example you can hold an invisible steering wheel stepping in and out to accelerate and brake respectively. Anything from golf to penalty shootouts can be more realstic thanks to full body control. This could actually be the future of games altogether not just a fancy wavey wand. To make the games unique to each user, Natal can actually scan real life things so that you can use your own football or golf club.

If this is more than just hype then this is going to be huge. On top of this, at the recent Tokyo game show major developers such as Sega and Capcom have both announced their backing of the hardware and this is on top of all the other major developers which include EA, Activison and of course the expected Microsoft Game Studios who are headlining the stuff.

For more information on this amazing new gadget it might be worth checking out a gadget blog.

Online Gaming Community You Would Enjoy

Monday, November 30th, 2009

The website, www.boardgamegeek.com, is a free online gaming community that focuses mainly on war games, strategy games and empire building games. Forum contributors say some of their favorite games include Agricola and Through the Ages: a Story of Civilization and Dominion, to name but two. Newcomers can register to the site to write their own game reviews, upload images and chat with other game enthusiasts. Visitors can read reviews, strategy tips, find opponents to play against and even buy games they can’t find in stores. For the ultimate gamer, a community is an invaluable resource.

The site, www.boardgamegeek.com, is a great place for parents to check for their annual “Board Game Gift Guide.” At a glance, parents will see a photo of the game pieces, the price, the number of players, the time it takes to play, the ages and where to buy it. They can also find links to reviews. For Christmas 2008, they recommended Incan Gold, TransAmerica, TransEuropa, The aMAZEing Labyrinth, Hey That’s My Fish, Qwirkle, Blokus and Zooloretto. For party games, they recommended Apples to Apples, Pit, Time’s Up, Wits & Wagers and Balderdash. Some of BGG’s favorite two-player games include Lost Cities, Hive and Memoir 44. The “stocking stuffer” category mentions card board games like No Thanks, Pick Picnic, Circus Flohcati and Loot. Then there’s that ever-hard-to-please teenage demographic. For this discerning audience, try Pandemic, Taluva, The Settlers of Cartan, Cartagena, Ticket To Ride, Carcassonne, Ingenious, Scotland Yard or Heroscape. By contrast, young children might love Go Away Monster, Sorry Sliders, Gulo Gulo, Cranium Cariboo, Cranium Hullabaloo and Make N’ Break.

As with any virtual community, there are ways to connect with like minds on www.boardgamegeek.com. Users can read what others write in the forums. They can peruse “GeekLists” to find users with similar gaming interests. They can add “GeekBuddies” to see their friends’ recent posts, reviews, ratings and comments. Members will receive “GeekGold” awards as they post new content to earn cool avatars and virtual currency for the community. The bottom line is that an online board games community is the best way to get all your gaming questions answered, seek new strategy hints, find new opponents, expand your game collection and flex your own expertise on this subject matter.

Earn XBOX 360 Achievements The Easy Way!

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

The XBOX 360 achievements system is amongst the main contributors to its increasing popularity.  It is a excellent concept wherein you build points by playing XBOX 360 titles and finishing the various levels and challenges within. When you have amassed enough points you are able to redeem them for actual rewards in the form of downloadable content from Microsoft. There’s a lot more to it than this however.

Getting points is a simple job for veteran gameplayers at freedom to spend hours beating challenging games and accomplishments.  But what about those of us who cannot spend hours at a push in making an attempt to unlock XBOX 360 achievements? Well you don’t have to feel hard done by anymore.

Here is what you can do to glean the highest points on XBOX 360 with minimum hours of playing;

Firstly you can choose the easiest games for the XBOX 360. Remember that a simple title will mean straightforward gameplay aswell and some straightforward points to gain your XBOX 360 achievements. Some of the less complicated games currently available are King Kong, Madden NFL, Fight Night Round 3 and teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, to name but a few.

Particular games could consist of easy parts alongside difficult parts. Basically you get the most points for finishing the difficult parts, but that may be very time consuming.  Try to earn as many XBOX 360 achievements as feasible from the straightforward levels and you might be onto a winner.

Lastly, it might be a great idea to concentrate on your skills. You could be really good at sporting games and not so much at ‘first person shooters’. Therefore, get on with the soccer and keep the gun away for a while! Just for the sake of getting XBOX 360 achievements, it’s best not to play the titles from genres you don’t prefer. You might finish up with little points but a lot of frustration that way.

There are a large amount of XBOX 360 achievements guides available online, which can provide you with updated information on the simplest way to maximize your points total simply. So you may wish to keep a watch on these sites.

By employing a little bit of strategy and guile you can pile on the points while enjoying quality gaming time.  So best of luck with your XBOX 360 achievements and aim at the stars!

Gaming Advantages With The PSP Memory Stick

Saturday, November 28th, 2009

The PSP memory stick is a dynamic flash memory card tool for PSP.  It has many perks as we shall soon find out.

After buying a fresh PSP system, you might find your entire family fighting over it. If you’re blessed with kids in the place, then it is more difficult as they are likely to fight over who used it last, why data was erased, etc. The PSP memory stick comes to your rescue in these scenarios, like the PS2 gaming card which you may have used in the past.

Once you have a PSP memory stick prepared it allows swapping and exchanging info across a wide variety of electronic gadgets. With the help of this you can download content from the web directly onto your computer. This information can then be put on to the PSP memory stick over a USB wire. Now you are set to use the memory stick with your PSP. This compact, simple to handle and trustworthy device can hold not only the data discussed above but also a lot more. And all this is kept in a single hard drive.

At one time, purchasing a PSP memory stick was a particularly costly affair. However, due to a decrease in the cost of producing the PSP memory stick, and the stiff competition that it faces in the market against the various retailers, the cost of the PSP memory stick has shrunk continuously. So having more than one memory stick for the private use of each member of the family is not too hard to believe now.

Furthermore the PSP memory stick is functional, user friendly and flexible. This means it’s ideal for even the smaller kids. This portable form of memory is amongst the most wanted objects with folk who like to use and see digital content of their choice.

These form just a few of the benefits of the PSP memory stick.

WoW Leveling Guides and Class Quests

Friday, November 27th, 2009

World of Warcraft Leveling Guides are designed to get your character to Level 80 as fast as possible. To do this, they get your character following a certain chain of quests that is designed to rack up experience rapidly. But you need to take into account the unique class quests for each character class. Where do these fit into power leveling?

Each character class has unique attributes, abilities, and quests. That’s why you may love playing a Warlock, while I’m big on Hunters, and so on. Just getting to Level 80 without developing the uniqueness of your character would take much of the fun out of the game.

Do you want to know how developing the unique aspects of your character’s class fit into a fast WoW Leveling Guide? It doesn’t. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of work to integrate the unique quests for each class into any kind of leveling guide. Some guides just cover the basics of leveling and leave it up to you to figure out how to get your class quests taken care of. But there are some people out there who are doing this right.

Dugi’s Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide and the Zygor Guides both include class quests in their leveling guides. When you use either of these guides, your character will automatically be guided to do relevant class quests as part of their progression from Level 1 to Level 80. This means that your character will be a fully-functional Hunter, Warlock, Druid, Death Knight, or whichever class when they’re done blasting through the levels.

If you want to succeed in the end game content, you need to be sure your character completes their class quests. Leaving it up to you to figure out when and how your quests into a generic leveling guide doesn’t cut it. Don’t accept any guide that doesn’t include your class quests in the progression.

If you want to level fast without neglecting your class quests, you need the right levelign guide. All you need to do is Click Here.

The Nintendo Wii Has Been Released. At this moment What?

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

The release of the Nintendo Wii console is exceedingly expected, since players have been interested concerning what the creators would do with their most recent baby to get it to contest head-on with its main competitors, Xbox and PS 360.  Is it value the wait?  You be the referee.

The specs
The buzz about the release of Nintendo Wii isn’t with no foundation.  The Wii’s processor is IBM’s ‘Broadway’ and its graphics come courtesy of ATI’s ‘Hollywood’.  It has a hefty 512MB of internal flash memory, a slot for later extension of SD memory and two USB 2.0 ports.  To load both the 12cm Wii game discs and the 9cm GameCube discs, you merely need to use one self-loading media bay.

The scene stealer
The specs of the Wii are sometimes overshadowed by the innovative rotate of its game controller identified the Wiimote (or Wii Remote).  It appears like your essential TV remote, however it uses a mixture of accelerators and sensors to ’sense’ its position in space.  So once you take a sway at that ball or attempt to punch your enemy in the face, you do hence using hand actions instead of merely pushing buttons.

On the base of the Wiimote is a port that could be used to associate game accessories, for instance the wii nunchuk, identified after the martial arts device it vaguely resembles.  The nunchuk aspects a thumbstick and a small number of trigger buttons.  The Wiimote is connected to the console via wireless Bluetooth and you can use up to four controllers with the Wii console.

One more feature of the Wiimote is its rumble pack, which could vibrate according to the strength practiced in the game.  This adds an additional measurement to the user’s largely gaming experience.

The games
The Wii is released with Wii Sports, featuring popular games like baseball, tennis and boxing.  At launch time, two of the most expected games were among the titles available: ExciteTruck and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.  There’s also a lot of selection for third party games like Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam, Splinter Cell: Double Agent, Far Cry: Vengeance and Madden NFL 07.

What it’s all regarding
Nintendo possessed a popularity for creating games that cater to children, however with the Nintendo wii release, children and adults alike will obtain its features, games and third party games appealing.  The Wii isn’t as impressive as its competitors in the graphics and audio division, nevertheless what it lacks, it more than makes up for with its strong specs and extremely reasonable price.
