Guide to Gifts in Farmville

Sunday, February 7th, 2010

The ability to give gifts to your friends is one of the coolest things about Farmville. It costs you nothing more than a couple seconds of your time and is a wonderful method to strengthen your bond with neighbors. You can now buy things at the Market and send your friends and other accounts gifts.

Free Gifts

The offered free gifts occasionally differ depending on seasons and happenings. However, there are always a couple different items that will definitely be welcome. Give animals, trees, or other items that can’t be purchased in another way. When you’re sending trees, visit Farmville Trees to make sure that you’re gifting something that produces a valuable harvest (give Olive and Pomegranate Trees instead of Plum). Make sure to give lots of presents during the Christmas event so that your friends will have a fantastic time unwrapping gifts on the 24th of December. If you send gifts each day, you’ll get lots of presents.

Gifts that Cost Cash or Coin

You can now buy gifts at the Market to send to other people. This is a relatively recent added feature. These Farmville items can be bought with either Farm Cash or Coin and include Gazebo, Treehouse, Manor including a large variety of seasonal items. Help out your friends who doesn’t have the funds for a high-priced item and keep the goodwill of your neighbors.

Not Spoiled, Gifted!’

The “Not Spoiled, Gifted” achievement requires that you leave gifts in your Gifts Box until you accumulate a specific number of different gifts. The minute your Gifts Box has 21 unique gifts, the blue ribbon will be given to you. Use or sell your duplicate items. These duplicate items only take up field space that is essential for you to win this ribbon!

Requests

You will normally collect many gifts if you have a lot of neighbors. Not all of these gifts will be ones you wish for—I mean, just how many reindeer can a person really use?? Farmville has anticipated this and allows you to sell extra or unwanted gifts right from your “Gifts” box. You can put a note on your field to avoid receiving unwanted gifts and with a bit of luck people will check it before gifting you. You can do the same for your friends.

Dual Accounts

Free gifts can be a great bonus if you are using two accounts to level up more quickly in Farmville. Send yourself the things each of your two farms needs. If one of your accounts has more Cash than another, send yourself the items that your other account can’t afford. To develop your two farms into massive plantations, just use your common sense and be patient.

The most valuable free resources that the game gives you access to are neighbors.. Head on to Farmville Neighbors for more info.
