WoW Leveling Guide – Fast Leveling In 3 Easy Steps

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

In World of Warcraft, leveling your char 1-80 is the most annoying part. It’s fun if you play your first character. You get to see the world, the NPCs and all the stuff the game has to offer.

But what happens when you decide to roll a new character? You have to do it all over again for days and weeks.

That’s when people stop having fun playing the game.

Follow my fast leveling strategy and just get it over with. It still takes some effort, but it’s the fastest, legal way to get to level 80.

Step One – Get A Good Leveling Spec

Scavenge forums and blogs. The community is huge and I’m sure you’ll find a good, proven build that you like and that works with the current version of the game.

Step Two – Get A Proven Attack Rotation

With every good leveling spec comes an attack rotation that kills off quest mobs the quickest. Start to practice it constantly. That’s an important aspect of fast leveling.

Do not die.

If you do the math, you’ll be shocked how much gold and time is wasted just by making a mistake and dying. You can prevent this with a little bit of experimenting and practicing.

Step Three – Skip Quests with a low ROI

Now, what do I mean by that?

There are junk quests in the game – they take lots of time but give hardly any exp or gold. Just think of all the group quests. All the time you waste just by searching for a groups. If you want the best xp/hour rate and just ding 80 fast, I recommend you to skip those group quests.

But there are also other, less obvious quests that simply suck up your time and energy. If you want to avoid those time-sinks you can get yourself one of the many in-game leveling guides that are available for every class.

That’s all you need to start fast leveling in WoW. There are many other tricks and tweaks, such as gear and glyphs.

The Shaman Leveling Guide – Shaman Talent Build

Friday, July 2nd, 2010

Leveling 1-80 with your Shaman can either be easy as pie or a hard, difficult and discouraging task. It depends on which Shaman leveling spec you use.

Inexperienced players often get their talent tree wrong and level slow because don’t use a Shaman leveling guide and don’t understand what their talents are all about.

The primary factor in leveling is your DPS. High damage = faster killing and fast questing. Many players get frustrated and grind it out on mobs, but if you’re smart about it, you level much faster if you just do the damn quests.

Now, let’s take a look at the 3 different talent trees and which one will help you the mobst to level faster and easier:

The Elemental Tree

This Tree has decent DPS but once you start playing it, you’ll quickly realize that you have to take a lot of mana breaks. Now, all these breaks will cost you more time than the talent tree can save you! Also, many of the skills support group members. We want to focus all our available resources on us.

The Restoration Tree

A viable option for level 80 characters. Of course, some talents can help you to survive nearly everything. After all, dying costs a lot of time. But you will deal hardly any damage and killing even the weakest mob can take a lot of time. Basically you will not use for Shaman leveling. This spec is used to be a healer for instances.

The Enhancement Tree

This is what we’re looking for. You get the highest DPS for the lowest amount of investment. The Enhancement spec is easy to use, which makes it perfect for shaman leveling.

In my opinion, Enhancement is the Tree of choice for Shaman leveling. Elemental and Restoration are both viable choices once you get to the endgame content. First level to 80 and then you can switch over. If you are not using the Enhancement build right now you might need new gear and some practice. But trust me, the time you will save later is much more than worth it.

Have fun leveling your Enhancement Shaman!

Warrior Guide – How To Dominate In PvP

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

Mastering your Warrior in PvE combat is one thing – Mastering Warrior PvP is a whole other beast. If you’re looking to improve your PvP performance with your Warrior, the first step is to understand the role you’re playing in the bigger picture.

When starting PvP, many players only look at their own character as an isolated hero instead of a part of a greater game. Big mistate!

This quick warrior guide let’s look at this whole picture and imagine it was a chess board – the warrior is only a single piece.

As every class, your Warrior plays a very unique role on the battlefield. Once you approach PvP from this strategic perspective, your odds of winning will more than double.

One of the foundations of a strong PvP game as is having gear that is rich in resilience. PvP is not like PvE, as every Warrior guide can tell you. Defense and Block Rating won’t improve your game. A raid tank is great for PvE, but helpless on the battlegrounds.

Next, master your stances. You need to react quickly in every situation and instantly pick the right skill in the right stance. You have to react in a second. Slow and Stun your enemies when it’s necessary to have your cooldowns ready when you really need them.

Well, that’s basically it.

I know this is very basic stuff but this is what it comes down to. It’s the foundation every strategy and tactic builds on.

Here’s your action plan to designing a warrior that’s going to dominate in PvP:

#1 – First of all, get a proven PvP talent spec that fits your playing style.

#2 – Get the right Glyphs and gear to match with your new PvP build. Remember: Resilience all the way! I also recommend you to write down a list of gear you want to get and how to aquire it asap.

#3 – Make yourself familiar with a solid Warrior PvP guide, but don’t get hung up with theoretical studying. Get out there into battlegrounds and arenas and gather some actual experience. And don’t be frustrated if you lose in the beginning, that’s what everyone does before they become champions.

Essential 2010 WoW Fast Leveling System

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

Leveling a mage or thinking about starting a new mage twink? Unsure if you can endure the grueling boredom of questing and grinding all over again?

The system I’m going to share with you now is the best way to make the process fast and pain-free.

What do you need for fast leveling mages in World of WarCraft?

The Right Talent Build

The talent build is crucial for mages. You should try to balance dealing damage and your survivability in difficult battles. I recommend you start out with the Fire tree to level faster in the early stages. You can easily deal with the mobs one by one.

At around level 40, switch to Frost. This spec gives you a great survivability when killing off many mobs at the same time. For fast leveling, your goal is not to die because it’s very time-consuming.

The Right Attack Rotation

Not much to say here. Practice with a few skill rotations and see which one gets the best results. It depends for a big part on the talent build you choose, as well as your style of playing.

Once you find a rotation that works, practice it

The Right Questing Path

Once you get Talent Build and Attack Rotation dialed, the only think holding you back is your choice of quests.

The order in which you accept, complete and close your quests is the biggest factor when it comes to fast leveling.

You can ignore “junk quests” (lots of time for little in return) using a leveling guide. They’ll take the decisions and friction out of the game and show you where to go and what to do. And no, they’re not illegal. They comply with Blizzards ToU.

All right then.

Use this system for a few days of practice and you can get it done in under a week played time. Implement it right now and don’t go hunting for even more information.

How To PvP – A Warrior Guide

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

This warrior guide is all about learning the basics of PvP combat with your World of Warcraft Warrior. Or teach you a few new tricks if you already know the ins and outs of PvP.

First of all: The greatest difficulty when playing a warrior in PvP is to get close to ranged damage dealer or healer. Mages, Hunter, Elemental Shamans, Druids and Warlocks… they all don’t want to get into your melee range.

They will either run away as soon as they see you closing in – or even worse, they will immobilize you before you actually manage to get close to them. I’m talking about crowd control abilities like slow, freeze, sleep, fear or seduction.

Some races already have build-in defense mechanisms against those spells. But you are not going to roll a brand new character just to take advantage of the right racial PvP ability, are you?

The first thing I want to recommend you in my Warrior guide is to get a PvP trinket as soon as you can. Equip this trinket every time you enter any battleground. It breaks crowd control effects and helps you to get away or closer to your enemy.

The second advice in my PvP warrior guide is to spec the right talent build. Arms and Fury are the two offensive talent specs that are viable for PvP. In my opinion Arms is superior.

It focuses on using a 2h weapon with a slow rate of attack. Why? Because this way the swing itself deals more damage. The Arms tree gives you lots of options to deal more, instant attack with your weapon. The more damage this hit deals, the better!

Get yourself a PvP trinket, spec the right talent build (Arms) and you have mastered the basics of Warrior PvP combat! Of course this is only the beginning, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Get out there and gather some experience in PvP, then come back for a Warrior Guide again.

Warlock Leveling Guide – The Glyphs That Help You Level Faster

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

Do you want to get to level 80 as fast as possible? There are many ways to cut corners and save valuable time to level faster. A Warlock leveling guide will show you an excellent way to increase your leveling speed with minimal effort.

Any good leveling guide should point out that the Affliction built is the only way to level very fast. That’s why I’m going to focus on the optimal major glyphs to increase your Affliction potential and increase your leveling speed.

Now, first of all let me repeat when the glyph slots are unlocked:

You get your first major glyph slot when you hit level 15. You get your second one at level 30 and the third one at level 80.

Now, on to the major Glyphs for faster leveling!

When you hit level 15 you get to choose for the first time. Which Glyph will support you the most? You can decide whether you want Glyph: Corruption or Glyph: Curse of Agony as your first Glyph.

Now, Corruption will stack with the talent “Nightfall”. At this point, you won’t have any talent points there. A good warlock leveling guide will show you how to spend your talent points in the most effective way. Curse of Agony on the other hand is one of your most used skills. That’s why I recommend you to go for Glyph: Curse of Agony first.

At level 30 you have to decide again: Corruption will certainly help you kill mobs faster, the mana breaks it leads to can suck up a lot of your time. If you don’t have to take mana breaks, choose Corruption for it’s synergetic effect with Nightfall.

You can also get Siphon Life first – it will be of great use because it increases your mana/health efficiency.

I hope you got some value from my warlock leveling guide for the perfect Affliction leveling glyphs! Come back later for more valuable information.

3 Top Tips On WoW Warriors – Warrior Guide

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

When you browse the forums for WoW tips, you will often find advices by players will little experience in WoW. This article will reveal successful WoW strategies that have been implemented by many champions.

Strategy 1

Take a route that allows you to complete as many quests as once as possible. Quests must never be performed one at a time, as every Warrior guide will tell you.

Unfortunately, some quests can also waste your time. Those quests take you to many different places so you have to spend lots of time traveling around the world. It is often in your best interest to quit quests and select other ones. You can spend your time on activities that are much more important and more fun.

Strategy 2

Make sure you use groups properly. My warrior guide recommends you to only join a group when you have to. Some of the quests are group quests. So you will only waste your energy if you try to complete all of them on your own.

But a party that messes around, has no clue or continues to wipe will also drag you down instead of helping you. You are in a better situation going it alone in this case.

Some classes benefit more from groups than others: Classes without build-in healng for example. Also, priests and mages are better suited to groups because they lack armor function. Groups can be beneficial, but they must work efficiently.

Strategy 3

This is one of the WoW tips I give the most often: Honor Kills. Don’t join raid groups to get more honor points. Solo or a normal party is a better choice for getting the most contribution points. Joining a raid party and raid the enemy terretory and kill low-level opponents will only slow your progress down.

I hope you gained some vaule and insight from my warrior guide. Especially if you are just starting to play the game, these WoW tips will prove to be their weight in gold!

Warrior Guide To PvP – How To Master Player Vs Player Combat

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Want to be a better Warrior in PvP? Playing a warrior in the battlegrounds or in the arena is very difficult if you don’t understand a few key concepts that are crucial for warriors.

I’ve taken the process and broke it down into three easy parts. But here’s a disclaimer: There are just the PvP basics. However, you will still need real PvP experience. Fail often, fail fast but learn from your losses, and your PvP game will soon be pretty solid.

Step #1 – Choosing A Proven Build

First of all, you should spec a proven and effective PvP build. Read through a couple of Warrior builds and try out how they would play out. You can do this with one of the many online tools available, so you don’t have to waste a lot of time in-game.

Then start to master the one that suits your playing style the most. Now master it.

Even a proven and effective talent build alone won’t win the game for you. You have to learn how to play it and find out good attack rotations. For proven attack rotations, you can also try to find a good warrior guide on that topic.

Step #2 – Resilience

When it comes to your Warrior spec, you want to get your resilience as high as possible. Constantly be on the lookout for gear that improves how long you can stay alive while absorbing damage from multiple enemies.

I recommend you write a list of good items you come across and then prioritize them by how much they improve your stats and how hard they’re to get. Never forget to make notes when you come across a successful PvP warrior. You’re looking at actual results here, not some theoretical unproven warrior guide from some random forum user.

Step #3 – The Stance-Dance

Get your stances dialed. Your ability to quickly jump back and forth between stances and pick the right skill at the right time is crucial. This isn’t PvE where you can just beat mobs – your opponents are human beings who have some tricks up their sleeve. Mind game is a big factor in PvP.

Alright, let me wrap things up. That’s enough to practice right now. The best way to learn it is gathering live experience.

When you get some results, hit the forums or Google to find a more in-depth warrior guide with tricks, tips and tweak to get even more out of your character. But one can’t become an successful PvP Warrior if he doesn’t know the basics.

What Should You Do Before Cataclysm? A Mage Leveling Guide

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

You surely know that the landscape and the face of Azeroth will change forever once the Cataclysm hits. This is especially serious for every player with toons that still haven’t hit level 80. With every area changed, everyone has to discover all quests and secrets again – which might be nice if you want to spend a lot of time on it….

The world gets ready for the big Cataclysm and players are forming groups to visit all the cool places all over Azeroth again before they change forever. They visit instances like the Black Wing Lair or lower level instances to see them one last time before they might be gone forever.

Noone knows what kind of changes might hit us.

Lots of players are unsure of what to do now:

Should you level your toons quickly to level 80 before your mage leveling guide is obsolete for an unknown amount of time??

Or maybe you should take your time to smell the flowers?

Don’t procrastinate! If you hurry up you can do both.

First, the leveling jobs. That’s very important. The alternative is stumbling through the new world without guidance and spend a lot of time before you finally hit the level cap.

Grab yourself the fastest mage guide you can find and completely focus on leveling for some days.

When you’re done, you can relax and join the nostalgia fun that’s taking place all over Azeroth.

I know it’s hard when a good thing ends, but you also have to look at what’s ahead of the road. How fun it is going to be when the shiny of the new cool stuff wore off and it’s back to the same-old-same old … leveling, grinding, etc.

But if you can anticipate the Cataclysm with all twinks already at level 80, you’re in the best position you can be.

Soon it might be too late!

Again, make sure you grab a solid mage leveling guide and get your leveling dialed. This way you will be more than ready and Cataclysm can come.

Warrior Spec Guide To Fast Leveling

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Unlike other classes, there’s more than one warrior spec to level your warrior to lv 80. They have to great leveling specs to choose from

Arms – This build focuses on a 2h weapon and is great for leveling and PvP

Fury – This talent tree focuses on dual-wielding two weapons and is great for leveling and being a damage dealer in raids

When it comes to leveling a warrior, many players say that there is something like a “sequence” of specs you should use.

I suggest you to choose the Arms tree first. This warrior spec is more effective than the fury build in the early levels. The reason is that the Fury talents you get in early levels aren’t the best ones.

When get to level 30, you get the Berserker Stance and already have quite some talent points. That’s a good moment to re-spec and switch to the Fury talent build. Now, the Fury build is not necessarily better than the Arms build, but in the later levels it’s just as viable to get to level 80.

Many warrios level 30-70 with the Fury spec and gather some tanking equipment on the way. With this gear they start to visit instances from lv 70-80. The reason for that is, that you can have two talent specs at the same time nowadays and can be a tank and Fury/Arms Warrior at the same time.

Let me recap the talent builds for you so you can choose the best warrior spec for your:

The Arms tree focuses on a slow but powerful two-handed weapon. The damage per second is always the same, no matter how slow or fast you attack. But hitting slower means every hit deals more damage. And the Arms tree has lots of talents to give you additional swings.

The Fury tree focuses on dual-wielding two 1h weapons. Later you can also use two 2h weapons! You will need some gear to give you to-hit stats since or you will miss with many of your attacks. This warrior guide is better suited to deal high damage over a long period of time.

As soon as you get to lvl 80 you will have all the choices: Will you visit endgame instances as an tank or off-tank or will you become a fearsome force in PvP? Take the warrior spec you like the most. You have the choice.
